Shelter Assistance for Displaced Families

Emergency Shelter & Basic Needs Assistance

In response to the escalating humanitarian crisis in Sudan, GRO has established emergency shelters and basic needs assistance programs for thousands of displaced families. Our shelters provide safe, dignified temporary housing for those who have lost their homes due to conflict and natural disasters.

We distribute essential Non-Food Items (NFIs) including hygiene kits, blankets, cooking utensils, and clothing. Our teams work tirelessly to ensure that basic needs are met, allowing families to maintain their dignity and focus on rebuilding their lives.

Our Achievements in Sudan

GRO's first humanitarian response in Sudan was in Alfasher city and Tawila in North Darfur State, in response to famine, where we provided vital food aid through common kitchen and food basket programs to people in need. Since then, our focus has been on assisting Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and host communities with essential lifesaving support.
